DIGITAL GEM Plug-In is the newest addition to the image correction and enhancement plug-in family for Adobe Photoshop and compatible image editing applications. Whether your digital images are from a film scanner, flatbed, digital camera, or CD, the DIGITAL GEM Plug-In gives you an easy and effective way to reduce noise and grain, resulting in a more visually pleasing image.
Image noise can be caused by a variety of factors including, high speed film grain, adverse lighting conditions, scanner/digital camera CCD noise, or image enlargement. DIGITAL GEM Plug-In allows users to isolate and manage noise/grain in both highlight and shadow areas without sacrificing image detail.
Other Features
The Clarity" slider in the DIGITAL GEM Plug-In dialog box provides an easy way to produce additional artistic effects. Users can achieve soft focus effects similar to those used in professional portrait studios by moving the slider to the left, the "soften" side. When the user moves the slider to the right, the "sharpen" side, image sharpening is applied, which surpasses most standard “unsharp mask” processes. DIGITAL GEM Plug-In also provides an effective way to remove or reduce JPEG artifacts and line screen patte s from digital images.
